Nancy Lam, formerly head of Schering in Hong Kong, has been appointed country division head of the new Bayer Schering Pharma business in New Zealand. The creation of Bayer Schering Pharma follows the global acquisition by Bayer AG of Schering AG late last year. Lam has a broad range of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
URS New Zealand has appointed Jonathan Coakley as senior environmental planner to its Wellington office. Coakley has worked for both the private sector and the Ministry for the Environment. He is also is on the steering committee for Waste Management Institute of New Zealand's contaminated land sector group.
Keith Paterson has been appointed to succeed Don Lyon as general manager of the management services group at Beca Carter Hollings & Ferner Ltd. Paterson will be responsible for management services activity across New Zealand, including the operations of the project management, cost management, planning and architecture business groups.He is currently the manager of the South Island management services and industrial section and has been with Beca since 1986.
Hirepool Limited has appointed John Gibson and Eli McCowatt as business relationship managers. Gibson has more than 26 years experience in the hire equipment industry, most recenlty as key account manager with Hirequip. McCowatt has spent more than half his life in the industry.
Numero has appointed Rachel McNaughton as contract consultant. McNaughton has eight years contract recruiting experience, formerly at Emergent and Robert Walters. She will continue to work in the accounting, finance and supply chain areas.
There have been two new appointments at Focus Recruitment. Stephen Matheson has been promoted to the sales manager of the retail division, while Ross Quinlan has joined the sales and marketing team after arriving in New Zealand from the UK.
