Sugar International Recruitment has announced the appointment of Phil Gray as the northern regional sales manager for Villa Maria Estate Winery. He brings more than 10 years of sales and account management experience within the wine industry to this role. Prior to joining Villa Maria Estate, he was the northern regional sales manager for Nobilo Wine Group.
Frederika Walls has been promoted to the role of general manager of Alexander Communications, with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the company. Walls joined Alexander Communications in 2006 and most recently held the position of account director.

The Child Cancer Foundation has appointed former director of human resources for Vodafone New Zealand, Neil Porteous to the role of chief executive officer. Prior to joining the Child Cancer Foundation, Mr Porteous held a variety of senior leadership roles within Vodafone New Zealand including HR Director.
NZ furniture manufacturer Criterion has promoted Chris Pickering to the position of group marketing manager, based in Auckland. Pickering, who joined Criterion in 2004 as NZ sales manager, was previously NZ sales & marketing manager, with his role growing to include managing sales to the USA.
