The PBT Group has appointed Chris O'Driscoll as general manager of PBT Couriers.

He succeeds Craig Peattie, who moves to the newly created role of general manager of Peter Baker Transport.

Financial services company Royal & SunAlliance has appointed Dr Tim Smart as product manager, risk (life company).

Rillian Hearst has been appointed technology support manager for life's new strategic partners business unit.

Brian Young has been appointed its marketing support manager, and Ross Hanning its business support manager.

The chairman of property information company Quotable Value New Zealand, Richard Westlake, has been reappointed for a second three-year term.

Westlake, who is also chairman of structural engineering company Holmes Groups and a director of the Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences, has held the position since the Valuation New Zealand Establishment Board was set up in late 1997.

Technical equipment rental company Tech-Rentals has appointed Roger Carter as managing director, responsible for its three New Zealand branches.

Alan Marriott will be responsible for the establishment, strategic development and general management of Robert Half International, now in New Zealand.

His executive assistant is Michelle Blake.

Patricia Love will be a recruitment manager within the contracting division, as will Nicola Bayne.

Dwayne Woolliams will be a recruitment manager in the permanent division.

DTZ Darrach has appointed Ross Pickett as its chief operating officer for New Zealand.

Mr Pickett was previously general manager of Bayley Corporation.
