Andrew Coker has become general manager of assurance services for food tester AgriQuality New Zealand. His predecessor, Malcolm Linn, has become general manager business development and marketing. The new business manager for AgriQuality's Ultra Trace Laboratory in Wellington is Scott Leathem.
Minter Ellison Rudd Watts law firm partner Charles Chauvel has been appointed to the board of energy supplier Meridian Energy. He replaces retiring director Scott Perkins, chief executive of Deutsche Bank.

Ross Mear has become head of investment banking for Forsyth Barr. He joins from CS First Boston.
Brian Sharplin has been appointed to head a new management services division at multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm MWH. He was chief executive of Rodney District Council for 27 years and most recently has been project director for the $200 million North Shore busway and Esmonde interchange project.
Craig Stephen has been appointed associate director, corporate finance for Fonterra Co-operative Group. He has been working as a member of the finance integration team since the formation of Fonterra in October.
Jonathan Tudor has become the general manager of Hill & Knowlton's Auckland office. He has been with Hill and Knowlton for seven years working in technology, manufacturing and consumer products.
Troy Scragg has become European general manager, sales and marketing, for Fisher & Paykel. He has held several New Zealand marketing posts for the company. Long-time Fisher & Paykel marketer Eamon Kenny has been appointed general manager of the company's British operation.
MWH senior planner Paula Hunter is the incoming president of the New Zealand Planning Institute. A member for eight years, she was most recently vice-president.
Mark Clavey has been appointed senior consultant for the investment advisory services, capital markets group of real estate firm Jones Lang LaSalle in Auckland. He comes from CB Richard Ellis.
