The Institute of Chartered Accountants has appointed Garry Muriwai as its new chief executive. Muriwai was previously the institute's general manager, standards and quality assurance. Before that he was head of the school of business at AUT.
Philips New Zealand has appointed Jane Waddel to the role of AV marketing manager. Waddel, who has been with Philips for 4 1/2 years, moves from her previous position as CTV product manager. She will continue to manage Philips' TV product range.
PricewaterhouseCoopers has appointed John Shewan as chairman and Warwick Hunt as chief executive on the retirement of present chairman Robin Hill. Shewan will be responsible for the firm's market position, governance and partnership matters. Hunt will be responsible for strategic direction, managerial and operational issues. Kevin Best and Bruce Hassall take on the leadership roles of tax and assurance.
Hamilton-based Aria Farm has announced two senior appointments. Leonard Moss is the company's new operations manager. He has previously been technical manager for Affco, quality manager at Wallford Meats and slaughter supervisor at Te Kuiti Meat Processors. Shelley Mackey becomes food service marketing executive. She was previously a manager in the hospitality industry.
Mecah O'Meara has joined Pead PR as an account manager. O'Meara has a bachelor of communications degree from AIT with a journalism major.
