Recruitment company Parker Bridge has appointed Michael Lai to the new role of marketing manager in its Auckland head office. He has recently been involved in senior consulting roles after returning from 2 1/2 years working in London.
Phil Atkinson has been appointed senior technical consultant at CA Technical Services. He has more than 14 years' experience in the IT industry and has worked on infrastructure and integration projects for major grocery retailers in Britain.
Dr Nicola Crauford is the new chief executive of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand. Dr Crauford is a senior executive with nearly 20 years' experience in the oil, gas, electricity and later banking sectors both in Britain and New Zealand.
She spent the past nine years at Transpower before setting up her own business consultancy in Wellington.
David Wylie has become general manager of Pier 21. Wylie has spent 30 years in the marine industry in New Zealand and was the founder of international boat transportation business Boat Haulage, which he sold in 2000. In the interim he has been acting as a consultant in the marine industry.
Repco NZ has promoted Ian Burnside to the new role of national accounts manager. He has been with the firm for more than 30 years. The company has also appointed Gary Oakes as New Zealand trade business manager. His background includes sales and marketing management positions.
Erla Rapsch has been appointed managing director of GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare. Rapsch joins the New Zealand operation of the company following a seven-year post in London, where she was global category director responsible for innovation and development of the company's large local and regional brands. Tim Thomson returns to New Zealand as marketing manager for the company's Consumer Healthcare business following an eight years in Australia.
