Paul O'Rourke will be the general manager of Wellington's new business hotel, Novotel Capital, which has opened on The Terrace. He joins the hotel from Australia.

Derek van Beynen has been appointed general manager for Club Physical in Botany South. He started with the company as a part-time instructor in 1990 when the company had just one location. It now has eight Auckland locations and one in Wellington.

Barbara Hollyman has been made senior product manager for New Zealand and Australia internet company gen-i. She comes with experience from Hewlett-Packard and Oracle.

Lahnae Cleaver has joined Parkland Products in the newly-created position of irrigation product manager. Previously, she was a data base manager for management consultancy Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.

Community Leisure Management has appointed Suzie Flint manager of Counties Power Recreation and Aquatic Centre in Pukekohe. She joins the company from a recruitment consultancy and aquatics management background.
