Celentis has appointed Dr Adam Barker chief operating officer of Celentis New Zealand. Barker, previously strategy and marketing manager for the business, will lead the team responsible for establishing partnerships with technology companies.

Manukau-based chartered accountancy firm CST Nexia has appointed two new associates, Dean Stevens and Elaine Yong. Stevens has broad experience in rural and primary industries, service organisations, property development and business valuations. Yong is an associate with CST Nexia Audit and has both commercial and public sector experience.

Orewa-based Graphique has appointed Gaye Tatro director of its new service bureau for advertising companies, graphic arts and publishing companies.
Tatro has more than 20 years' experience in typographical services and previously worked for Digital Equipment, Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance of New Hampshire in the United States and Imagination Identity NZ.

Woosh Wireless has appointed Ben Powles as business development manager with responsibility for the roll-out of the Probe contracts to supply wireless broadband in Southland, Wairarapa, Northland and Canterbury. He has been working with Woosh on contract from the legal firm Buddle Findlay over the past year and was responsible for producing the company's Probe contracts.

Law firm Bell Gully has appointed Judith Jamieson director of people and operations. Jamieson joins the firm from supply chain consulting organisation Management Toolbox. She has also worked in senior HR positions at Fletcher Challenge Forests and Southern Cross Healthcare.

OPSM has appointed Karen Barker to the position of general manager, OPSM New Zealand. In 2000 Barker joined OPSM as national recruitment manager, recruiting optometrists for both Australia and New Zealand until last year when she was appointed to the position of retail operations manager for Canberra and Sydney's southern region.

Kindercare Learning Centres has appointed Jenny Johnston to the new role of marketing manager. Johnston served as trade commissioner to Singapore from July 1999 to August 2001. She has also managed her own marketing consultancy in Singapore.

Media company ACNielsen has announced a new organisational structure in the Asia Pacific region, resulting in several personnel changes. Alistair Watts has been promoted to managing director Pacific replacing Tom Markert, who is moving to New York as senior vice-president and chief marketing and client service officer. Frank Martell, president of VNU Marketing Information, Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets, has been named chief operating officer of ACNielsen and senior vice-president of VNU Marketing Information.

PR consultancy August. One Communications has made two appointments to its Auckland office. Carmela Salisbury joins as account director and Jayne Corbett has been appointed office administrator. Salisbury previously worked for high-tech marcoms consultancy Brodeur Worldwide based in Britain. Corbett previously worked as a secretary with Nationwide Building Society in Britain.

The board of Spectrum Care has appointed Jacki Richardson as CEO. Richardson has worked with Spectrum Care for two years, as service manager for the children, youth and respite team and quality manager, and also has a masters degree in management studies and labour relations. Kim Casey has been appointed general manager, business services; Phyllis Trelease has taken on the role of general manager, adult services; Brett Marsh joins Spectrum Care as general manager, organisational methods; and Jan Tulloch becomes general manager, community services.
