David Wallace has joined McCallum Peterson's corporate finance team as an associate, based in Wellington. Wallace has been a director of Far Pacific Capital and was a ranked analyst with global investment bank JP Morgan.
Eth Lloyd has been re-elected national president of the Association of Administrative Professionals New Zealand at its recent AGM. She is currently personal assistant to the Natural Hazards Group at the Institute of Geological and Natural Sciences, Wellington. Elizabeth Signal of the Manawatu District Council was re-elected national first vice-president and Friday Rountree of law firm Bell Gully was elected national second vice-president.
Gary Robertson has won the overall performance prize at the awards ceremony for the Professionals Real Estate group Auckland/Northland Region. This is the third year in a row he has won the top salesperson award.
Linda Robinson has joined the Auckland office of Baldwin Shelston Waters as an associate. She practises in commercial dispute resolution and civil litigation.
Phil Wicks has been appointed alpha nominated brand manager for Hamilton-based Livestock Improvement, transferring from his role as a district manager. Simon Worth, previously employed as banking operations co-ordinator by Standard Bank (London) has also joined Livestock Improvement as sire analyst.
Dr Greg Pullen has been appointed to a new position at Auckland UniServices as general manager, technology development. Most recently manager, patents and business development with Sydney-based biotech company Peptech, a developer of peptide- and protein-based drugs, Pullen has 20 years' experience in the sector.
Lynda Herriott, previously industry manager at DHL (Sydney), has joined Livestock Improvement as business development manager. Michael Barker, previously an accountant at News International Newspapers (London) has also joined as a management accountant.
DB Breweries has appointed Ben Shaw to the position of brand manager DB Draught, based in Christchurch. Shaw will be responsible for the DB Draught brand on a national level. Sean McNaughten has been appointed group brands manager mainstream, responsible for the mainstream marketing team and the Tui, Export Gold and DB brands.
Melita Lawn has joined workplace coaching organisation IBT International NZ as an account manager in Auckland. Melita has eight years' business development and account management experience, five years' and lectures part-time in selling skills at AUT.
Engineering and environmental professional services company, URS New Zealand, has appointed Auckland-based senior engineering geologist Kevin Hind as an associate. Its Auckland geo-engineering team has also been boosted by the appointment of Yolanda Thorp, a senior geotechnical engineer with almost 20 years' experience. And Horia Grecu, a senior mechanical engineer, has joined its mechanical and electrical group.
