OutSource IT has appointed Catherine Taylor as managing director. Taylor is a founding shareholder of OutSource IT and works as a business consultant in the software team.
Media communications company Optimedia has restructured and appointed seven new staff. Senior strategist Simon Bird has been promoted to head of planning, leading a team including new senior planners Julia Smith and Keri Thomas and assistant James Roberts. Arlene Sisarich has been promoted to head of buying and leads a team including new buyers Stacey McEntee and Ainsley Gibson and buying assistant Marcello Wijoko. Frances Cook joins Optimedia as a reporter/consumer advocate.
Former Carter Holt Harvey chief operating officer Jay Goodenbour has been appointed executive vice-president plywood for Columbia Forest Products Company headquartered in Portland, Oregon.
Southern Cross Healthcare has appointed Quentin Wilson as chief operating officer of the insurance business unit. Wilson, who was formerly operations manager for AMP Financial Services, replaces Mike Ashby who has been appointed Southern Cross group chief operating officer, ventures.
Bell Gully partner Wayne Hudson is the new president of the New Zealand Software Association (NZSA). Hudson has been advising technology companies for more than 20 years, and has been a board member of the NZSA since 2001.
