KEY POINTS:
* Summerset Holdings Limited has appointed Lisa Hay and Alan Matthews as sales managers for its new developments at Warkworth and Aotea respectively.
* The Dilworth Trust Board has appointed Hugh Fletcher as a Trustee. Mr Fletcher replaces Sir Wilson Whineray, who retires from the board after 11 years of service. Mr Fletcher has a wealth of experience at the highest levels of business and education.
* Insurer AIA (American International Assurance Company (Bermuda) Ltd) has appointed Donnamarie Edwards to the senior role of group business manager. Ms Edwards joins AIA from Southern Cross, where she was northern sales manager.
* Healthphone has appointed former New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister Jim McLay as its non-executive chairman. In addition to significant governance experience, Mr McLay has healthcare experience as Chairman of listed retirement care provider Metlifecare Limited and was formerly Chairman of retail pharmacy company Pharmacybrands Limited.
* Arcus Investment Management has appointed Peter Verhaart to the role of chief investment officer. Verhaat was was most recently head of investment consulting with Mercer Investment Consulting.
* Chartered accountant Darryl Jhinku has been appointed chief financial officer for civil engineering construction firm Hick Bros Civil Construction. He has held previous senior financial roles at TelstraClear and Northplan Financial Services.
* AMP Capital Shopping Centres has appointment Linh Luong to the position of senior marketing manager for New Zealand. The newly-created role gives Ms Luong responsibility for all marketing activity previously managed through Australia for the AMP Capital Shopping Centres in New Zealand.
* Tenby Powell, chief executive of Rakino Group, has become a Trustee of the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust (ARHT) board.
Mr Powell's experience spans both the private business sector and the military.
* VortexDNA, a New Zealand-based provider of advanced Web 3.0 personalisation and business search technology software, has appointed John Hart of Palo Alto, California USA to its executive team as vice-president of business development and commercialisation.
Hart joins VortexDNA from Ubiquity Software (now Avaya) where he served as vice-president marketing and product management.
* Karen Barrett has joined ASB's corporate banking team. Karen has worked for over 27 years in banking.
* Dianne Thomas (nee DeMontfort) has joined Synergy Consulting Group as a senior consultant. Dianne brings with her over 15 years medical industry knowledge and experience.
* Stephen Williams has been appointed commercial manager of BJBall Papers. He joined the company as a graduate trainee last year after majoring in marketing and strategic management and has coordinated the DesignLine sample service and worked in customer service.
