KEY POINTS:
* Cuan Gray has been appointed Business Manager at Westside Media Ltd. Gray responsibilities include operations, customer service and marketing for Westsides online DVD rental business fatso.co.nz.
* Matt Berry has been promoted to the new position of director of client service at Carat New Zealand. In his new role, Matt will have a renewed focus on driving the group's core media competencies and integrating its broadening communications service offering. Berry, who has more than 12 years strategic media and communications experience, has also been appointed to the executive team. He has been with company for the past five years.
* Executive recruiters, 6 Degrees Consulting Group have appointed Marina Rovo as researcher for its executive search and public sector practices. Marina is a graduate from California State University and has media industry experience.
* Steve Green has been appointed the chief executive officer of Flow Software Limited. He was previously Flow Softwares sales and marketing manager. In his new capacity he will be responsible for the development and expansion of the New Zealand operation and oversee international growth.
* Trans-Tasman law firm, Minter Ellison Rudd Watts has appointed Rachel Devine as a new partner (subject to Law Society requirements) in their real estate division.
Rachel is an experienced environmental and public law adviser and heads the firm's resource management/ environment/ planning team.
* Wheeler Campbell recently welcomed Lynda Fraser to their team. She joins the company from a senior management role with a large global corporate. With eight years executive recruitment experience Fraser will be responsible for growing Wheeler Campbell's HR practice as well as a broader HR offering to clients.
* Ben Prebble has been appointed HTML front-end web developer, responsible for web-design and end-user functionality. Prebble was most recently from PMP Maxim. Prior, he ran his own business, BNL Projects, providing web development, design and hosting. He has a Diploma in IT from AUT.
* Fairfax Media has appointed Rodger Shepherd to the position of group head of publishing. Shepherd was formerly chief executive officer of PMP NZ Limited. In his new role Shepherd will have responsibility for the revenue, profit, circulation and readership performance of Fairfax Media's newspaper and magazine businesses. Prior to joining PMP Mr Shepherd spent 11 years with various Fletcher business units.
* SAS has announced the appointment of Geoff Beynon as country manager, New Zealand.
Beynon comes to SAS following eight years in a range of senior management roles with IBM New Zealand, including a very successful spell in sales management.
