Ken Stephen and Rachel McLauchlan have joined the Commerce Commission as senior legal counsel. Stephen was a senior in-house lawyer at Telecom NZ. Rachel McLauchlan was a senior associate at Chen Palmer & Partners.

Suzanne Winterflood is to become joint creative director at Publicis Rainger. She has held creative director roles in the Publicis Group in the UK and Australia.

Kathy Harris is to be manager customer service, telemarketing and account management at Reed Recruitment's Auckland office. She was last telemarketing and help desk manager for Laser Plus. Treena Hunter has been appointed systems manager. She was last with Crown Relocations as account coordinator and systems support.

Geoffrey Horne is the new president of the New Zealand Orthopaedic Association. He is professor of surgery and head of the department of surgery at the Wellington School of Medicine and Health Science.

Registered psychologist Sara Chatwin is to be media consultant and director of communications for Manu Samoa Rugby after seven years in private practice.
