Wellington-based lawyer and professional director Denis Thom has joined the board of Strategic Finance and will also become the company's new chairman. He is former executive chairman of law firm Phillips Fox and former chairman of the New Zealand Stock Exchange surveillance panel.
David Wolfenden also joins the board as a director, bringing considerable banking experience in New Zealand and internationally. In 1992 he was appointed managing director of Countrywide Bank, a position he held until its sale to National Bank in 1998. Since then he has undertaken a number of assignments for the Asia Development Bank, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in the Asia Pacific region.

David Wilks has been appointed general manager tourism development at Tourism New Zealand. He comes from the TAB, where he was general manager of marketing and responsible for consumer promotions, the internet sales channel, Trackside television and sports betting operations.

David Horner is the new Sky City information services strategy and process manager. The newly-created role makes him responsible for the development of an information services strategy across the company.
