KEY POINTS:
* KPMG partner Martyn Halsall has been appointed head of KPMG's IT advisory business in Auckland. He has over 20 years' experience and holds a post-graduate degree in forensic computing with a focus on electronic fraud and corporate security. Canon New Zealand has appointed Mark Allright as national manager of finance and administration. Prior to this, Allright was the chief financial officer for Hortresearch and has held a range of senior financial roles with Ernst & Young and in the IT industry.
* Corporate and event caterer Urban Gourmet has promoted Sophie Lister to manage its events team and appointed Erin Sandor as an events manger.
* Executive recruitment and search company, Swann Group Limited, has appointed Richard Webb as an associate. Webb joins Swann after working for a boutique executive search firm in London where he founded the Alternative Investments Practice in 2003. Prior to working in London he spent three years in a research and executive search role in the Australasian market.
* Bank of New Zealand's Ruth Bound is now head of business and channel development (marketing and distribution). She was previously head of projects and change management for technology and operations, a position she held since 2005.
* Focus Recruitment has appointed Rachel Widerstrom to work on its retail recruitment team. She comes to the role with 20 years' experience working in retail covering a variety of roles.
* Fronde Synergy has appointed Kobus Swart as principal consultant, transaction and payments systems. Swart will assess current and emerging technology trends and identify new opportunities to add to Fronde's already established transaction and payments product portfolio.
* Sue Addison joins Hamilton law firm, Norris Ward McKinnon as a legal executive in the residential property team.
