The Livestock Improvement Board has elected Waikato dairy farmer Stuart Bay as its chairman designate. Bay will take up the position on May 31 when the present chairman, David Milne, retires.
Hansen McConnell has appointed Christine Meads as a senior public relations consultant. Meads was responsible for public relations at Southern Cross Healthcare.
Consulting and IT services company The Simpl Group has appointed Paul Whiston as its contact centre services delivery manager. Whiston has 15 years experience in managing teams and deploying technologies in the corporate arena. He recently held the role of general manager at a specialist CTI, CRM and contact centre company.
The firm has also appointed Glyn Taylor as the new contact centre client delivery manager for Vodafone NZ. Before joining Simpl, Taylor was with EDS as service delivery manager. He has previously held roles with Databank, ABN Bank and BZW in Britain.
Ed Mathers is the company's new contact centre technical architect. He was working at Belgium's national telco, Belgacom, as the lead Genesys architect on a major CRM integration project.
Carter & Partners has made two new appointments to its legal team. Mike Kitto has been appointed a commercial and property solicitor. He has a B Com LLB from Auckland University, and has worked for firms in Auckland, Christchurch and London. Kitto also has an Hons degree in clinical psychology. Guy Herbert has been appointed a consultant to the firm. His expertise is in the resource management local government, town planning, environmental law, and business law area. He has spent 27 years as district solicitor for Papakura and is a Commissioner with the New Zealand Lotteries Commission.
Greg Owen has joined technology company Gen-i as client director for Fonterra. Owen has more than 18 years experience in the IT industry, five of which were spent at Gen-i in the mid 90s as client manager for Air New Zealand. He rejoins the company from Fujitsu where he held the position of northern region sales manager.
