Tim Slack has joined the legal partnership Carter & Partners. He has previously spent seven years as a partner in a provincial partnership.

Mike Pohio has been appointed manager of the Port of Tauranga's container terminal. He was formerly merger benefits manager for the dairy giant Fonterra.

Susan Geertshuis is the new director of the Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Auckland. During her career she has attracted $10 million in support for her work in workplace learning, learning evaluation and technology-mediated learning.

Antony Bott (right) is a new senior associate at law firm Minter Ellison Rudd Watt. He last worked as an in-house counsel for Equant Network Services and Cable & Wireless Communications in the United Kingdom.

Environmental and resource management lawyer, Mark Sly (right) has also become a new senior associate. He has been with the firm since 1999.

Deb McCool, who has worked in real estate for eight years, is business development manager, Auckland, for Harcourts Group.

David Bernard has joined the agency team at Jones Lang LaSalle in Auckland. He comes from a management background in the fashion industry.

Bernie Robinson is the new general manager for engineering consultancy Serco Services. He joined as operations manager northern region in 1990 and was most recently group manager of the Serco Resources Group.

Lindsey Price is the new spa director at Hyatt Regency Auckland. For the past few years she has managed spas in Asia.
