Mediator Stephen Hooper has been appointed capacity development manager with World Vision's Central Asia office, responsible for mediating conflict in former war zones such as Afghanistan. Mr Hooper previously worked as chief mediator for the Labour Department's dispute resolution service.
Michele La Riviere has been appointed financial controller of Transpecs. La Riviere comes to New Zealand from Britain where she was finance director for Crown Lift-Trucks.
Equico Equipment Finance which specialises in technology finance, has appointed Chris Timoti as sales manager and Ross Fodie as operations manager. Both will have national responsibility and will be based in Auckland.
Ernst & Young New Zealand has appointed Richard Williams as a partner in the Auckland-based taxation services. Williams has more than 13 years corporate tax experience including four years in Britain involving tax compliance, general tax consulting through to specialised consulting on treasury and structured finance transactions.

Christien Winter has been appointed managing partner of Sheffield. Winter has been a partner and director of the firm since 1995. Ian Taylor, having completed his five-year term as managing director, will continue as a partner and director of the firm.
