Christchurch-based commercial design company The Design Team has appointed Richard Bullett as senior designer. Bullett, who has moved south from Auckland to take up the new position, has 18 years' background in commercial design. For the past eight years in Auckland he ran his own company and subsequently worked for a large design business.
The Auckland Regional Economic Development Strategy (Areds) has appointed a new Pacific programme manager to develop a Pacific Arts development centre and Pacific business projects in the Auckland region. Samoan-born Wilmason Jensen previously worked as a senior regional policy adviser for the Ministry of Pacific Island Affairs.
Brightpoint New Zealand has appointed James Watters as country manager. Previously with Navman, Watters also spent two years at Brightpoint North America as director of indirect sales.

Casey Plunket has joined law firm Chapman Tripp as a partner in the tax team. Plunket has more than 20 years' experience helping clients with merger & acquisition transactions, corporate restructurings, and cross-border and structured financings. Plunket has also advised the New Zealand government on tax matters, and lectures part-time at the University of Auckland.
Ericsson Enterprise Systems has appointed Paul Watchman as an Auckland-based sales executive. Watchman previously worked for Telecom's corporate sales team.
