New Zealand business consultant Lois Dickinson, the chairperson of World Vision New Zealand, has become acting chair of World Vision's international board until new elections in September. She has served on the international board since 1995.

Alex van der Leij has taken the newly-created role of telesales manager of telecoms company CallPlus Services. He was last recruitment and training manager for Sky Network Television.

Peter Smales is the new client sales executive for IT services heavyweight EDS. He joins after returning from working in the United Kingdom for the international technology company Keystones Solutions.

Claudine Murray is the new area leader for all Flight Centre stores north of the Auckland harbour bridge, as well as the Bay of Plenty, Taupo and Rotorua. She has been with Flight Centre for the past five years.

Rob White, a former managing director of Goodman Fielder Milling Australia, has been appointed chief executive of The New Zealand Wine Company. He replaces Peter McAtamney, who resigned in May.

Jim Fraser has joined Opus International Consultants as principal consultant strategic planning. He has more than 20 years' experience in strategy formulation and policy analysis.

Nick Jolliffe has 3Com Corporation's newly-created role of New Zealand business development manager. He has 15 years' experience in the networking and telecommunications industry.

Mark Padginton is the new business development manager for Maclean Computing. He was last with Elite Systems, Auckland. Mark Hubble is the new sales manager. He was the account manager.
