Lindsey Lawton has been appointed to a new position of chief operating officer, Management Services, for the Southern Cross Medical Care Society. Lawton has a background in finance, consulting and healthcare management, most recently as chief executive with Fertility Associates.

Woolworths Limited has made two new appointments to its Progressive Enterprises Limited leadership team in New Zealand - Richard Manaton as general manager strategic planning and Elizabeth Higgs, general manager marketing. Manaton comes from his previous role as GM marketing which he has held since joining Progressive in August 2005. Higgs brings to the role extensive senior marketing experience and post graduate research with leading international organisations and educational institutions in the UK.

Jay Datt has joined Carat New Zealand as a client service assistant having recently completed a double major in Media and Sociology at the University of Auckland. He joins the media industry after spending 12 years in hospitality. Nick Young has also joined Carat as a client service assistant having completed a Bachelor of Business from the Auckland University of Technology.
