KEY POINTS:
* Rotorua District Council has appointed Taupo man Jean-Paul Gaston as director of its corporate services group. He will take up the new role in late July. Gaston currently works for Taupo District Council where he heads the community and recreation group.
* Ed Saul and Steve de Jong have joined life insurance company Pinnacle Life to develop launch and manage www.pinnaclelife.co.nz. Saul has over 10 years experience as a general manager and CIO. De Jong is a former lecturer in economics.
* Leading trustee company Guardian Trust has named Ian Smedley as national manager - client relationships. Smedley has been with Guardian Trust for 16 years.
* The New Zealand Branch of CPA Australia, has appointed a new president. Chye Heng - CFO, executive director and head of legal of engineering giant Beca Group - has taken over the reins of the New Zealand branch from outgoing president Judith Ray.
* Dave Bonsall has been appointed Christchurch branch manager for the national recruiting group Drake International. Also, Michelle Watson has been appointed executive consultant at the branch. Bonsall has held a range of senior managerial positions throughout New Zealand, Australia and Asia with Fuji Xerox. Watson was a resourcing consultant with UK technical recruiting company AndersonElite.
* Adecco Personnel Ltd has appointed Angela Berry as Bay of Plenty branch manager and Kerri Ahomiro as Whangarei branch manager. Angela was previously branch manager at Tradestaff in the Bay of Plenty and Kerri was Adecco's National Health and Safety Manager.
* Heath Williamson has moved from his position as business manager at David Forman to take up a position at Orb Communications as a business development manager in Wellington.
