* Chapman Tripp has promoted four new senior solicitors and one senior legal advisor.
Cathryn Barber,senior solicitor - banking and finance specialises in banking and finance law with a particular interest in property financing. She advises both borrowers and lenders, including some major banks, on various aspects of banking and financing transactions.
Georgina Hamilton, senior solicitor - environment and resource management works in resource management and environmental law. She advises on district and regional planning, consenting and compliance issues, major infrastructure projects and environmental due diligence.
Cameron Law, senior solicitor environment and resource management specialises in resource management law. He advises on resource management issues including legislative amendments, designations, plan changes, resource consents and environmental compliance.
James McMillan, senior solicitor - dispute resolution works in commercial dispute resolution with a particular interest in insolvency and recovery work. He regularly appears in the District and High Courts and represents clients in both formal and informal negotiations.
Barclay Rogers, senior legal advisor - environment and resource management specialises in resource management and environmental law. He advises on climate change, agricultural regulation, property and infrastructure development, waste management, and environmental due diligence.
* Albany Executive Recruitment has appointed Genevieve Westcott as recruitment specialist. The multi award-winning television journalist, who's covered international assignments around the world for both NZ and Canadian TV, is managing director specialist media skills company Westcott Communications Ltd.
* Carolyn MacDonell has joined H2R Consulting as a senior consultant. Carolyn has 16 years experience in executive recruitment gained in Wellington and Auckland across private, public, not-for-profit and education sectors. MacDonell specialises in senior appointments in government, human resources, and management.
* Mark Heer has joined ASB as the national manager, rural corporate. Mark comes to ASB with a B.Agr.Science from Massey University and has 20 years building expertise in both the rural industry and the corporate banking arena.
* The Cement and Concrete Association of New Zealand has appointed an architect to its permanent staff for the first time. David Baird, a registered architect and member of the New Zealand Institute of Architects, will be a project manager for CCANZ. David has spent the past 10 years working in the multi-disciplinary environment of Babbage Consultants Limited in Auckland, most recently at associate level.
* New Zealand industrial services and distribution operator, Rakino Group, has appointed Garth Cunningham to manage the new Hirepool branch in Whakatane. Cunningham, previously branch manager at Hirequip Kawerau, has a wealth of experience having spent 23 years in the hire industry. Before Hirequip, Cunningham spent seven years at Projex under Rakino CEO Tenby Powell.
* Trans-Tasman law firm, Minter Ellison Rudd Watts, has announced three new senior appointments in the firm's Auckland corporate practice.
Jeremy Patston advises clients on all aspects of general corporate and commercial advice including company incorporation, structuring, financing and securities, and insolvency. He joins Minter Ellison Rudd Watts from law firm Duncan Cotterill.
Paul Mathewson advises on a range of corporate and commercial matters including consumer, regulatory, product, trading, health and safety, and advertising law. He has recently returned from the UK where he was a senior lawyer and manager of Tesco's UK consumer and regulatory legal team.
Silvana Schenone is a senior corporate and commercial lawyer, with experience in securities and commercial major transactions, international arbitrations and M&A transactions. She joins Minter Ellison Rudd Watts from Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York.
* Wheeler Campbell welcomes Anna Simonsen to their team. She was recently an HR Consultant with a large global corporate. With seven years executive recruitment experience Anna will be responsible for permanent HR roles.
* Drake New Zealand Limited has recently created two positions to manage their growth in the Albany office. Brooke Mattock has been appointed business development executive responsible for managing and developing client relationships. She has over 12 years experience in sales within the office products industry.
Jaylene Bremner has been appointed to a newly created role as temp consultant in the Albany office. She is responsible for managing the temporary requirements for clients within the office and industrial sectors. Jaylene has extensive experience within the banking and finance industry.
* Bernadette Ryan-Hopkins has joined OCG Consulting as the manager for their established financial services team. She recently worked as a manager with another recruitment agency.
