Sarah Kerr is one of three new senior associates at law firm Minter Ellison Rudd Watts. She has worked for United States firm Holme Roberts & Owen in London and Clifford Chance in Frankfurt.

Environmental and resource management lawyer Kimberly McMurray-Cathcart has been with the firm since June 2000. Property lawyer Simpson Tong has been with the firm for two years.

Peter Murphy has taken the position of national sales manager, off premise, for New Zealand Wines and Spirits. He was last general manager sales for Allied Foods.

Hugo Shanahan has become an account manager based in Hill and Knowlton's Auckland office. He last worked for a Wellington consultancy.

Greg Maloney is the new general manager of Sheraton Auckland Hotel & Towers. He was last general manager Sheraton Mirage, on Australia's Gold Coast.

Rob Fisher is the regional manager for Bartercard's new office in Palmerston North. He has spent the last three years with Bartercard's Wellington branch.

Guy Thompson has joined the finance contract team of recruiter Robert Walters in Auckland. His previous experience includes two years spent with Robert Walters' London office.

Brent Kendrick, formerly southern region sales manager for HP, has been appointed national sales manager, commercial. Hannah Prentice, formerly a business partner manager, becomes personal systems group sales specialist. Patrice Murfitt, formerly a sales co-ordinator, has become a business partner manager.

Peter Lee is the new national marketing manager of Fidelity Life Assurance. He has more than 19 years of investment and insurance experience.

Michelle Corse-Scott is one of three new principals at law firm Chapman Tripp. She joined in the banking and finance department in September 2001, following five years at Freshfields in London. Andrew Ryan joined Chapman Tripp as a senior solicitor in April 2001, and has been a tax adviser in both accountancy and legal firms for 10 years. Helen Wild has joined the firm as a principal, specialising in health law.

Aaron Toresen is the new operations manager for LJ Hooker Commercial, Auckland. He has spent several years in the property industry both in New Zealand and London.

Dale Morris is the new group financial manager of Harveys (NZ), and will be based in Auckland. He recently immigrated from South Africa, where he spent the past 10 years as a financial director.

Tony Duncan has been appointed executive director of the National Heart Foundation of New Zealand. Most recently he was general manager of operations at MercyAscot Hospital in Auckland.
