Technology company Gen-i has appointed Diane Green as general counsel. Based in Auckland, Green will be primarily responsible for providing legal advice and solutions and for the management of external legal providers and insurance.
The State Services Commissioner, Michael Wintringham, has announced the appointment of Tia Barrett as director of the Commission's Treaty of Waitangi Information Unit. Barrett will be seconded from his present position as chief of protocol and director of protocol division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Men's shirt manufacturer Lichfield International has appointed Ben Taylor to the new position of product manager/casualwear. It has also purchased the Benjamin Taylor Clothing business which specialises in quality men's casualwear.
The Fiji Visitors Bureau has appointed Tracey Pettit as its new regional marketing officer for New Zealand. Pettit has previously been international affairs co-ordinator for Auckland City's economic development group, and international marketing co-ordinator for Totally Wellington.
ASB Bank has appointed Phil Skingsley as chief manager, ASB Bank Investments. He will be responsible for the bank's investment advisory service, the private portfolio service and the supporting client services area.
Oracle's New Zealand-based Asia Pacific Data Warehouse Centre of Excellence has appointed Milo Davies as a data warehousing consultant. He recently returned to New Zealand after six years overseas. And technical architect Robert Lyle will work with clients to define the information technology architectures they need.
Alana Gower has been appointed as New Zealand Trade and Enterprises trade commissioner to New York. Gower has been the acting trade commissioner to New York since October 2002, having previously been a trade and investment consultant for Trade New Zealand and Investment New Zealand in New York.
