Areva T&D (Electrical Services) has appointed Brian Smith as health and safety adviser. Before joining the firm, Smith was a safety adviser for a Christchurch consultancy firm and spent 28 years with the Department of Labour/OSH.
Liam Denton has joined mobile phone firm Alcatel's Enterprise Solutions Division as an account manager. He has worked previously with Xerox, Gen-I, Axon & Apple.
Susan Hornsby joins law firm Kensington Swan's employment law team as senior associate. She has 12 years' experience in employment law. Senior associate Greg Shaw joins the firm's litigation team. Shaw has been practising in the area of company and commercial law for 14 years and was with Clifford Chance, Russell McVeagh and Chapman Tripp. The company has appointed Chris Heilbronn as its new chief executive.
GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare has appointed Rachel Wansbone as senior brand manager to its over-the-counter portfolio. Most recently she was with Merck Sharp & Dohme as a product manager. Rachel has a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, from the University of Waikato.
