Scott Wright has been appointed to Philips New Zealand as marketing manager for Philips consumer electronics. He has been with Philips since July last year as group product manager managing CTV and VCR, with involvement in the Philips consumer peripherals business.

Paul James has been appointed information systems manager for the New Zealand Association of Credit Unions. He was previously technical team leader LAN support group for the National Bank.

Former Morgan and Banks New Zealand chief executive, Peter Sullivan has joined Selector Group as executive chairman. His appointment signals the end of a search by the company to find an executive chairman with industry experience. The current chairman of Selector Group's board, Jack Porus, will remain as a director. Mr Sullivan was a key participant in developing Morgan and Banks in New Zealand, Australia and the UK. He remained a director until 1998.
