Brian Roberts has been appointed chief executive officer of the the Northland Regional Council Community Trust, the region's leading development agency.

Roberts has been chief executive of the regional tourism promotion body Destination Northland for the past four years.

Mike Conboy and Edwin Wigmore have been appointed business development managers for Fast 50 company EMS-global.

They will focus on the increasing demand for information security in New Zealand.

Ngaire Vanderhoof has joined the Southern Cross Cable Network marketing team as client services manager.

She comes to Southern Cross with a strong background IT sales, marketing and service delivery.

Simon Tong has become director Compaq global services.

And John Hoonhout has been appointed solutions group director for Compaq Computer New Zealand.

Tong will be responsible for achieving service's market and financial objectives.

Hoonhout's solutions group will focus on adapting existing global solutions for New Zealand customer needs.
