New Zealand aid worker Judy Moore will take over as operations director for World Vision's Iraq programme in January. For the past three months Moore, 54, has been on secondment in Mosul. She is presently in Albania, completing responsibilities related to her former posting and will take a break before returning to Iraq early next year.
Frank Olsson has just been appointed to head ASB Bank's new Corporate Banking division. Olsson most recently headed National Australia Bank's Tokyo operations and previously its Southeast Asia and Singapore operations.
David Kidd has been appointed by Public Trust to the new role of Auckland regional manager with responsibility for leading its nine northern customer centres. Kidd joined Public Trust last year and was most recently responsible for managing its specialist advisory business in Auckland. He previously worked in the financial and professional services sector.
Port Nelson has appointed Martin Byrne as its new chief executive. Byrne, formerly from Nelson, is at present the general manager business development at Flinders Ports in South Australia, and will take up his new position in mid-January.
CDL Hotels has appointed Scott Wallace as divisional director of the New Zealand Millennium group of hotels and Doug Flavell as divisional director of the Copthorne group of hotels. Wallace has been the divisional director of Copthorne hotels for four years. Flavell was previously general manager of the Lakefront Copthorne Hotel in Queenstown.
Steve Tietjens has been appointed a director of Wellington-based finance company Prime Finance, as part of its expansion into the Auckland small-to-medium business lending market. Tietjens is a principal and director of Corporate Finance.
Craft company Compendium has appointed Judi Hadfield to the role of sales manager for its corporate gifts division. Hadfield has previously worked in the health sector for 20 years.
Donald Good is the new portfolio manager for Celentis. A New Zealand-trained accountant, he has more than 12 years' experience in the finance field, including six years spent in private equity in Europe. His work in the investment unit of Celentis will include evaluating proposals put to the company's recently formed $5 million pre-seed investment fund.
