The Charity Gaming Association has appointed Lynne Fletcher as executive director of its new Wellington office. She has a background in community fundraising and trusteeship. Fletcher holds a psychology degree and has undertaken a postgraduate course in business.
Macquarie has made three financial adviser appointments to its financial services group. Senior sharebrokers Kirsty Shiach and Ian Witters and exchange traded options adviser Greg Arnott. Shiach has been in the financial advising industry since 1983 and is a graduate of both Otago and Canterbury Universities. Witters is an NZX associate broker who has been advising clients since 1996. Arnott has worked for several New Zealand and Australian broking firms over the past 10 years, and has particular experience in Australian shares and exchange traded options.
Sovereign has appointed Chris Smith and Ed Aitken as investment development managers.
Both are qualified advanced financial planners. Aitken spent the past eight years with Scottish Equitable, most recently based in London, and last year was its top national broker consultant.
Smith was formerly a financial adviser with Paul Smith Associates in Leicester, and has worked in Auckland as an investment specialist with Westpac.
