KEY POINTS:
* DairyNZ, the industry good organisation funded by New Zealand's dairy farmers, has made three recent appointments to new positions.
Sarah Fraser is general manager communications and marketing and is based at Newstead, near Hamilton. She was previously group director corporate at professional public relations in Auckland, where she provided communications counsel to many of New Zealand's leading companies;
Simon Tucker is general manager policy and advocacy and is based in Wellington. He has joined DairyNZ from Fonterra, where he was most recently manager, strategy for Fonterra Cooperative Group; David Johns has also joined the policy and advocacy team in Wellington, as investment and policy manager. He was previously group manager, investment strategies for the Foundation for Science Research and Technology.
* Bradley Burnett has been appointed to the new role of general manager for the Blackstone Group with responsibility for management and expansion of its portfolio of accommodation offerings.
His extensive hotel industry experience in the UK and New Zealand has included revenue and operational management roles with the Westin Auckland, SKYCITY Entertainment Group and the Heritage Hotels.
* Hamish Marr has rejoined OCG Consulting after a year's sabbatical travelling in Europe. Originally from Otago, Hamish has been working in the industry since 2001, working predominantly across the sales and marketing sectors.
* National law firm Buddle Findlay has strengthened its practice with the appointment of three new senior associates. Alexandra Low and Ash Hill are members of the firm's Auckland team and Iris Reuvecamp will join its Wellington office. Low is a senior associate in Buddle Findlay's tax team.
Ash recently returned to Buddle Findlay after spending three years working in financial services and merchant banking.
Reuvecamp was most recently senior legal counsel for a large District Health Board in New Zealand.
