Brand and advertising agency Lowe has appointed Jenny Stiles as head of planning. Previously planning director at DDB, she was formerly marketing director at APN, marketing manager at Fairfax, and business and planning director at McDonalds.
BNZ has appointed Patrick Mullins as head of capital markets origination for New Zealand based in Auckland. Mullins was previously with Westpac Institutional Bank where he was head of syndicate desk.
Business intelligence and scorecard services company Maestro Systems has appointed Yasin Mohammed as their business development manager. Mohammed spent the last three years with Microsoft New Zealand as a solution specialist for SQL server and business intelligence focused on enterprise customers. Before joining Microsoft, he spent 10 years with Oracle in New Zealand and abroad.
Rental equipment firm Hirepool has appointed Mark Gregory as business relationship manager - heavy hire, based in Auckland. He was key account manager with The Cat Rental Store.
BTI New Zealand Limited has appointed two new business development managers, Jodi Day and Ken McCauley. Day joins the Auckland office, coming from Netpointers Asia Pacific where she was sales account manager. McCauley takes up the Christchurch-based position of business development manager for the South Island. Prior to joining BTI Ken worked for the Fortex Group, and brings over 12 years of business travel consulting and extensive travelling experience to his new role.
Dylan Horrocks, a graphic novelist and comic artist, has been appointed University of Auckland / Creative New Zealand Literary Fellow 2006. Horrocks is the author of Hicksville and has lectured on writing, art and the history of comics.
