Hay Group in New Zealand has appointed Brent Miller as senior consultant to its Pacific consulting team. He will be based in Auckland and rejoins Hay Group having recently spent time in San Francisco with Watson Wyatt.


MasterCard Worldwide has announced the appointment of Vicky S. Bindra, 44, as president, Asia/Pacific, Middle East & Africa (APMEA) region. Bindra joins MasterCard from GE Capital, where he was CEO, President, India, since 2007.

Beca has announced the appointment of Keith Reynolds as its new group CEO. Reynolds will start on September 1, 2009, when chairman Bob Durrant steps down and current Group CEO Richard Aitken moves into that role. In his most recent role, Reynolds led the development of Hyder Australasia's engineering and environmental businesses in roading, rail, water, resources and property sectors.

Canon New Zealand has appointed Paul Jefferies to the newly created position of regional sales manager for Auckland and Central regions. He has 26 years' industry experience of working in sales and marketing in New Zealand, Australia and Singapore.

Minter Ellison Rudd Watts welcomes Janine Stewart, Kate Healy and Ashley Lane to the firm. All three have recently returned to New Zealand to take up senior associate positions in the firm's Auckland office. Stewart recently returned from the Cayman Islands where she was an attorney with Walkers Global; Healy's background includes four years with Arnold Bloch Leibler in Australia; Lane returns to the firm following two years with Clifford Chance in London.

Mercury Energy has appointed Mike Larmer, MD of Auckland direct marketing agency TEQUILA, to spearhead its marketing strategy.

Les Whale has joined independent consultancy TeleConsultants as TelcoOptimiser sales manager. He has wide experience in telecommunications sales and management.

Bruce Turner, ICT Leader from local engineering consultancy Aurecon, has been elected to serve as Chairman of the Board of BICSI-South Pacific.

Roger Jameson has been appointed as general manager sales and marketing for the SPM Group in New Zealand and Australia.

David Long has been appointed as general manager SPM New Zealand. He has an engineering background, and was previously responsible for the consulting branch of the New Zealand business.
