Bruce Peden has been appointed national operations manager, meal solutions, for Woolworths (NZ).
His responsibilities cover the fast-growing serviced delicatessen and meals-in-minutes offerings for the Woolworths, Big Fresh and Price Chopper supermarkets nationwide.
Over the past four years, he has been responsible for the company's national operations in the bakery and seafood areas.
Vivien Sutherland Bridgwater has been appointed director of university relations, and Kevin Pryor has been appointed to the new role of director of marketing, at the Auckland University of Technology.
Sutherland Bridgwater joined the then AIT in 1999 as marketing manager and was appointed associate director of university relations in 2000.
She has been acting director since Jan Fitz-Gerald left in December last year.
Pryor has 20 years of academic and corporate experience.
Formerly the academic group leader, marketing and advertising, in the faculty of business, he has held various roles such as principal lecturer and acting head of department, marketing, advertising, travel and tourism.
DB Breweries has appointed Barrie Calder as manager of the Monteith's Brewing Company in Greymouth.
He joined the company in 1985 as laboratory manager after working in West Otago farming. He replaces Keith Armstrong, who has returned home to Canada.
Anthony Aitken has been appointed general manager of Hallmark New Zealand, reporting to Peter Stevens, managing director of Hallmark Australia.
He will be responsible for the overall management of the New Zealand business.
He joins Hallmark from Hansells, a leading food manufacturer specialising in products targeted at children, where he held the position of group sales and marketing manager.
