Brand and investor communication design consultancy, Insight Creative has appointed Stephanie Gasperini to the role of general manager. With more than 20 years experience in the design and advertising industry, Gasperini joined Insight four years ago.
Trans-Tasman law firm, Minter Ellison Rudd Watts, has announced two new senior appointments in the firm's Wellington employment practice - Greg Cain and Steve Wragg.
Greg Cain is a senior employment lawyer and litigator with over ten years' experience advising clients in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He joins the firm as a partner, once the requirements of the law society are met. Greg has returned to NZ after several years working in the UK, most recently as a partner at Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP in London.
Steve Wragg specialises in all areas of employment law including personal grievances, restructuring, corporate governance issues, employment agreements and restraints of trade. A recent emigrant from the UK, Steve was formerly a senior associate at Herbert Smith LLP in London where he acted for many leading UK and international companies.
APN New Zealand Publishing recently announced the appointment of new editors for the Northern Advocate, Whangarei, and the Daily Post, Rotorua.
Craig Cooper, currently editor of the Daily Post, has been appointed editor of the Northern Advocate, succeeding Laura Franklin who was recently appointed editor of the Bay of Plenty Times.
Scott Inglis, currently deputy editor of the Bay of Plenty Times, will succeed Cooper as editor of the Daily Post.
Cooper, who has 15 years experience as a journalist, grew up in Northland and previously held a number of senior positions at the Northern Advocate including those of chief reporter and news editor.
Inglis has a 19-year career in journalism spanning three newspapers, the Bay of Plenty Times, Waikato Times and The New Zealand Herald. His roles including reporting and sub-editing, and terms as production editor, chief reporter and news editor.
Laura Franklin will take up her new position on May 5 with Cooper and Inglis starting on May 19.
Variety has appointed managing director of Elders Rural Holdings Stuart Chapman as a new board member. He has been actively involved with Variety for six years and has led the Elders Bash Team since 2004.
Insurer AIG Life has appointed Geoff Smollett to the role of regional sales manager for the Central West region, covering Wellington, Kapiti Coast, Horowhenua and Wanganui. Smollett has 20 years' experience in the financial services industry, having spent the past five years specialising in the area of business development and relationship management.
Downer EDI Works Limited (Works) has appointed Nav Gahonia to the role of business development performance manager, based in Queenstown. With a strong background in public / private integrated partnerships, Gahonia has a proven track record of implementing processes, systems and technologies to client specification.
Chris Moloney joined Works in 2007, working in business development, and he has recently been appointed the role of water sector commercial manager, with a remit covering both business development and contact delivery support. Chris' background is in procurement and financial management on alliances and major projects. He has a relevant recent background, having been commercial and finance manager with Lend Lease Australia on Sydney Water's Networks Alliance.
Crosson Clarke Carnachan Architects Auckland Ltd has announced that Brent Hore, NZIA Registered Architect has become an associate of the firm. He has worked with the company since their inception in April 2004 when Carnachan Architects Ltd merged with Crosson Clarke Carnachan Architects Ltd. Hore had previously been employed with Simon Carnachan for eight years.
Aaron Hodson has been appointed as international franchise development manager for Harcourts International. Hodson was recently sales manager and sales consultant for Harcourts largest office in Western Australia, Harcourts GBT.
NZ Currency Concepts has announced the appointment of Jim Devonport as a senior dealer to their currency management team. Jim brings with him over 20 years experience and knowledge of the Forex market; gained from a major UK clearing house then top US investment bank in London and a large wood products corporate here in NZ.
Chapman Tripp welcomes back Nicki Carter who has returned to the firm's Christchurch office as a senior solicitor, corporate and commercial. Nicki has spent the last five years in London where she worked as in-house legal counsel for multinational telecommunications operator, T-Mobile, and as a solicitor at UK law firm, Bevan Brittan, where she focused on large scale property projects.
Karen Riddle has also returned to Chapman Tripp as senior solicitor in the finance group. She has spent the last two years working in the leveraged finance team of Ashurst LLP in London.
Todd Spencer joins the Chapman Tripp's Wellington office as a senior solicitor in the corporate and commercial group. He specialises in advising energy and infrastructure clients. He joins the firm from Contact Energy where he was involved in advising on wind, geothermal and gas-fired power station developments,
Josine Wynberg joins the firm's Wellington office as a senior legal advisor in the dispute resolution team. She has recently moved to New Zealand from Darwin, where she worked at Cridlands Lawyers, advising on construction industry and insurance-related disputes.
