APN New Zealand has appointed Claire Sarsfield to the newly created position of advertising manager - retail. She will head the Retail advertising sales teams for The New Zealand Herald and Herald on Sunday which includes responsibility for a number of key retail accounts as well as features and custom publications. Claire joins APN with an impressive portfolio of newspaper experience most recently as deputy advertising manager at The Press in Christchurch. She will join APN in January 2009.
Konrad Trankels has been appointed as director of White Associates, a construction cost consultancy practice. He will be responsible for all estimating and cost planning of projects, as well as contributing to the strategic development and growth of the company.
IT veteran Susan Basterfield has assumed the role of general manager at Clarus Christchurch. Originally from the United States, her career comprises a string of achievements with corporates IBM, Tektronix, and Vistorm in the UK. Prior to Clarus, she was client manager and enterprise solutions specialist for Gen-i.
Meredith Connell has appointed two new partners and seven new associates in the firm. Anna Adams specialises in public sector litigation, advice and advocacy. Kevin Glubb specialises in the area of criminal law and prosecution. The new associates are Caroline Culliney, Kirsten Lummis, Jacqui Parker, Rachael Reed, Tiffany Robertson, Natalie Walker and Nick Williams.
Wayne Maguire, a fully qualified real estate licensee and auctioneer, has joined Michael Boulgaris as joint owner and sales broker at Boulgaris Real Estate Ltd. He was the Sales and Marketing Institute's Sales Manager of the Year in 2007.
Holly Dunn joins RadioWorks as national marketing manager for MORE FM and The Breeze group of radio stations. Holly previously worked at Classic Hits as national promotions manager.
