James Lloyd has been appointed Hamilton branch manager for recruitment firm Drake International. He arrived from Britain where he was a senior consultant with the recruiting firm Reed Accountancy.

The Telecommunications Carriers Forum has appointed Synergy's Gillian Clark to co-ordinate the implementation of number portability. Clark joined Synergy earlier this year and specialises in the financial services industry and recently completed a global security project undertaken by ABN Amro.

Richard Dean has been appointed to the role of executive director, Bank Assurance, with ING Insurance Services based in Wellington. Dean has an insurance and banking background spanning 30 years. He was most recently with the Bank of New Zealand as a director of Private Bank.

Eric Judd has been appointed to the newly created position of chief insurance risk officer with ING New Zealand in Auckland. He was previously a consulting actuary with Aon New Zealand, where he was involved with ING on life insurance projects.

Netsoft has appointed Michael Beaumont as business development manager to its health services division. Beaumont's background is in the provision of healthcare systems and he previously worked for OBM as project manager for health services.

Justin Le Cheminant has been appointed general manager of Ascension Vineyard at Matakana, just north of Auckland.

Theta Systems has appointed Steve Saunders as chief executive officer. He is currently The University of Auckland's chief technology officer and will join Theta Systems next month.

Hugh Rowand general manager for James Glen is to move to Brisbane, Australia, to take up the role of Queensland state manager and a national role within the business. Lance Bridgford joins the firm as New Zealand manager.

Tower Health & Life has appointed Brent Wright as manager intermediary business. He was previously with AIA. Philip O'Keefe is key account manager independent financial advisers and was previously with Sovereign.
