Sabre Pacific, which provides software systems to travel agents, has appointed Matt McLellan country manager New Zealand. He will join the company in April and will be based in Auckland.

Ari Hallenberg is the new Consul-General for Finland based in Auckland. He is also a partner in advertising and marketing company Advocate and a trustee of the Ellerslie Flower Show.

Kiran Bhikha has joined chartered accountants O'Halloran & Company as a senior manager responsible for the management of the business and taxation service department. Bhikha was previously an associate at Gilligan Sheppard.

International exhibition organiser DMG World Media (NZ) has appointed Michele Harrod group manager, hospitality NZ. Harrod comes to the company from her role as general manager of North Point Events.

Jeff Matthews has been appointed general manager of Stretchmaster Products, based in Albany on Auckland's North Shore. He takes over from managing director Bryce Hill, who has stepped down to pursue other interests but remains an active director of the company. Matthews, who joined the company in 2002 as sales and marketing manager, takes on his new role on April 1.

Intellectual property specialist Hamish Selby has joined Buddle Findlay's national intellectual property/information technology team as a senior solicitor based in Auckland. Previously he worked as a trademark adviser for the Government.

Belinda Moffat has also joined Buddle Findlay's Auckland office as a senior solicitor in its litigation team. Before joining the firm she worked at Ashurst and Addleshaw Goddard in London.
