The University of Auckland Business School has appointed Dr Giles Burch as senior lecturer in human resource management in the department of management and employment relations. Before his appointment he was a consultant business psychologist in London.

Langham Hotel Auckland has appointed Louise Erceg as director of sales and marketing. Before joining the hotel, Erceg was regional sales and marketing manager for Mirvac Hotels.

Simpl has appointed Heath Quinn to its strategy consulting team. Quinn joins Simpl from the BBC in London, where he worked in senior technology roles.

Debbie Loveridge, CEO for recruitment Select Australasia in New Zealand, has been appointed head of the Australasian business, incorporating the group's operations in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. She replaces Tony Milligan who is retiring.

The National Society on Alcohol and Drug Dependence has appointed Judi Weir as the board's chairperson. She replaces Terence FitzGerald who is now a volunteer at the Royal New Zealand Foundation.
