Movers & Shakers

Three people have moved from Navman NZ to join Phitek Systems. They are Richard Mangnall who is Phitek System's chief operating officer, Michael Causley joins the firm as senior engineer (electronics) and Jon Lowy arrives as senior engineer (mechanical). Simon Harnett has joined Phitek Systems from Apple Computers to become manager, global development.

Don Mather has been appointed as business development manager for Public Trust. He has been general manager of Public Trust's Corporate Trustee Services business since 1988 and has more than 35 years' trustee experience.

Simpl has appointed Mike Ogle and Paul Burnet as shareholding directors on its board. The pair replace Dave Bainbridge and Alistair Ward who have served on the board for two years.

Toshiba has appointed Callum Eade as New Zealand country manager to its information systems division. He has been acting country manager since September and has been with the company for 18 months as channel business development manager.

ACE Insurance has appointed Scott Pickering as managing director of Ace New Zealand. He returns to New Zealand from Tokyo where he was regional president for Ace Far East.

Winstone Pulp International has appointed Brendon Rowse as manager of corporate development. Before joining the firm, Rowse was strategic development manager for IRL BioPharm, the biopharmaceutical division of Industrial Research Limited.
