Neil Kench is the human resources manager at 3M, replacing Debra Tong, who will take up the position of human resource manager at the company's office in Singapore. 3M has appointed Steve Freeman as group general manager, health care business. Paul Brinsley has been appointed to group general manager, industrial and electronics and communications businesses, and Janice Tylden has been appointed business manager, transportation business.

The New Zealand Clinics, which specialises in health issues for men and women, has appointed Pieter Watson marketing manager. He has been a board member for the Peace Foundation and the Auckland Volunteer Centre as well as involved in Amnesty International and Trade Aid.

Visa New Zealand has appointed Wellington-based QC Bill Wilson as its chairman. Wilson succeeds Pradeep Roy of the Bank of New Zealand, and is a former partner in the law firm Bell Gully, where he provided advice to the New Zealand Bankers' Association. ACE Insurance has appointed Michael Poole as northern regional manager based in Auckland.
