New Zealand Trade and Enterprise has made five new appointments. Paul Smith is director, North Asia, for investment unit Investment New Zealand, based in Hong Kong. Before joining the organisation he was based in Hong Kong as co-head of Debt Products, Asia, with Deutsche Bank. Grant McPherson joins NZTE as its regional director of South/Southeast Asia. McPherson was previously the managing director of the New Zealand investment bank, Morel & Co. Fiona Acheson has been appointed NZTE's communications manager. She has been working at NZTE as a communications consultant, having joined the organisation from Industry New Zealand. Megan McKenna joins NZTE as the group general manager strategy and external relations. McKenna previously worked at Fonterra's corporate strategy unit. Anna Heiler is NZTE's new director of strategy and evaluation. Previously she was a strategic adviser with the strategy and evaluation team at NZTE and before that worked in Scotland as the head of strategic planning and research for the Highlands and Islands Enterprise Network.
Recruitment agency Drake has appointed Libby Hilder as branch manager of its Christchurch office. She was previously manager of Drake Personnel and acting branch manager in Christchurch.
Corporate insurer AIG has appointed Paul Hunt as chief executive of its New Zealand operation. Hunt will replace Anton Du Plessis, who is taking up the position of country manager, Philippines.
H2R Consulting has appointed Jane Walker as executive director. Don Fulford joins the firm from Momentum as an executive consultant.
Recruitment firm Drake New Zealand has appointed Ihipa Smallman as its Wellington branch manager.
