Tourism New South Wales has appointed Kate Strange as its New Zealand regional director. She has been acting regional director for the past year while Sonya Brooks was on maternity leave.

Infrastructure maintenance company, Transfield Services (NZ) Ltd, has appointed Penney Daly as learning and development consultant. She will be responsible for creating and implementing development training programmes including modern apprenticeships and trade specific training to NZQA standards. She comes to Transfield from the private training establishment, Academy NZ, where she was a trainer.

Louise Taylor, Michael Langdon and Paul Farrugia have been made senior associates in the firm's Auckland office, specialising in commercial and technology related contracts, business restructuring/recovery and insolvency, and banking and finance respectively. Richard Gordon has joined the Wellington office. His expertise lies in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, banking and securities law. Susan Rowe has been made senior associate at Buddle Findlay's Christchurch office, specialising in commercial and civil litigation, employment law and information technology.
