Law firm Buddle Findlay has appointed Grant Dunn as a partner. He rejoined the company as a senior associate in 2004, having spent the previous six years in London working for Weil, Gotshal & Manges, a US law firm.

The firm has also appointed eight new senior associates at its Auckland office. They are: tax specialists Cate Alcorn and Catherine Codd; Anna Collings, a banking and property finance expert; Sacha Judd, mergers and acquisitions and Sharon McGrath, international mergers and acquisitions; Belinda Moffat, a general commercial litigator; Anton Shead, who works in the commercial property area, and Rachel Steel who is part of the firm's litigation team specialising in employment law. The firm has also appointed a new senior associate in its Wellington office. Susie Kilty is an expert in competition and public law.

DDB's new director of strategic planning is Claudia David. She joined DDB New Zealand this month from DDB New York where she was director of brand strategy.

Rental equipment firm Hirepool has promoted Taryn Storey to communications manager - based in Auckland. Storey was previously executive assistant marketing and communications.

Stamford Plaza Auckland, has appointed Lynda King as director sales and marketing.

Parker Bridge Recruitment has appointed Adrienne Gordon as a senior consultant in the commercial accounting team and Oliver Hawkley joins the temporary and contract commercial accounting team. Both positions are in Auckland. Nic Porter joins the firm's Wellington office in the commercial accounting division.

Public Trust has appointed Lindsay Pope as northern regional manager, based in Auckland.
