Advertising agency FCB has appointed Justin Mowday to the newly created position of group account director. Before joining the firm, Mowday was with the Ingram Partnership, a British business consultancy.

Jan Pickering is Freedom Air's new human resources manager and arrives after working three years as an HR contractor. Before that she was the human resources manager for IT company Mi Services.

WaterSafe Auckland has appointed Sue Jones to help schools with their aquatic programmes. She left a senior teaching position to join the organisation. Sarah Barson has joined Sport Auckland where she will promote a new active movement programme for 0-5-year-olds. She will work with early childhood educators, health agencies and whanau to encourage children to develop the confidence and competence to move, play and be active.

Helen Gibbs has joined recruitment firm Wholeoranges Consulting as a director alongside Therese McNaughten, the founding partner. Most recently Gibbs was employed by Hudson Global Resources.

Burns & Ferrall has made two new appointments in its Kitchen Contracting Business. Kevin Gallagher is now national commercial sales manager, based in Auckland. He was the Wellington branch manager for the firm. Alexander Bellis is now Wellington branch manager.

Pacific Retail Finance has appointed Joseph Malpas to the new role of business development manager, investment. Malpas will work primarily with the broker and financial planning community. He joins PRF from Aon Consulting where he was Account Manager, Sales.

CM Travel Solutions has appointed Frances Purcell operations leader, responsible for the management of travel management and small-to-medium size companies divisions in the Auckland area. Purcell was previously area leader for the company.
