The Ellerslie-Panmure off-ramp on Auckland's Southern Motorway has been closed for a clean-up after yesterday's fire.
The New Zealand Transport Agency has closed the off-ramp for Southbound traffic so contractors can carry out the clean-up safely.
The off-ramp is set to re-open later this afternoon.
The NZTA is advising motorists to use the Mt Wellington off-ramp and thanks motorists for their patience.
Firefighters battled a huge factory fire in Ellerslie last night, but were unable to save the building.
Decontamination teams were called in when the blaze threatened to release hazardous materials, including asbestos. There were no reports of injuries to firefighters or factory staff.
Thick, black smoke could be seen last night pouring from a boat manufacturing and fibreglass laminating company.
