KEY POINTS:
A driver whose car collided with a commuter train in west Auckland today has driven from the scene unharmed.
Inspector Matt Sillars of the police northern communications centre said the collision happened before 8am at Totara Ave, New Lynn.
Mr Sillars said the car was not badly impacted by the collision and the driver was able to drive away. Nobody was believed to be injured.
Train schedules were not reported to be affected.
