Save A 49-year-old man is dead after the car he was driving crashed into a tree in Rangiora, north of Christchurch.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Coldstream Rd about 2.20pm today.
Police said the man died at the scene.
Nobody else was in the car and no other vehicles
appeared to be involved.
Police said the crash may have been the result of a medical condition.
The death had been referred to the coroner.
