An 84-year-old man who drove his car through a red light at a Hamilton intersection 10 days ago has died.
He was Murray Hirst, of Hamilton, whose car collided with another vehicle after a running a red light at the intersection of Kent and Hall St in suburban Frankton on January 10.
Waikato road policing manager Inspector Leo Tooman said he was taken to Waikato Hospital with minor to moderate injuries, but his condition deteriorated and he died yesterday.
