Motorist, 73, did 130km/h

Police have ticketed a 73-year-old woman caught speeding at 130km/h yesterday.

Another Wellington motorist was caught driving at 139km/h and a number of others were also ticketed for speeding, said Inspector Paul Jermy of police central communications.

He said police were out in force on Christmas Day targeting poor driving and speeding.
